Hollow Conforming Chrome Plating Anode :

Conforming anode are nowadays used in plating of piston rods ,sleeves etc.Plating time is considerably reduced when compared with conventional anodes,hence production is increased.Uniform Chrome plating can be observed using conforming anodes. Conforming anodes are best for thicker deposits and especially for heavy build-up work as they offer optimum deposit speed and uniformity.

  • Case Study I

    Client problem - 7 meter long flat casted anodes having casting defects like porosity,Cracks. Anodes breaking after 6-7 months use due to casting defects as anode are prone to decompose first from anode area having cracks,voids,porosity etc.

    Solution - Supplied extruded anode manufactured by using 400T hydraulic extrusion press. Benefits observed were dense structure,No cracks,No shrinkage porosity,Smooth surface etc.

    Case Study II

    Client problem - Uneven plating thickness ,Chrome fill up,long cycle times etc due to use conventional tank anodes for Chromium plating of Jobs having diameter 200mm. Plating thickness requirement of 200-300 microns per side.

    Solution - Supplied job conforming anode baskets. Client observed substantial reduction in uneven plating thickness. Cycle time was also reduced.Anode baskets are suitable for heavy chromium deposits due to good anode to cathode area ratio.
